With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics, Imam Elturk worked as an Electronics Engineering consultant for many years. He became interested in learning about Islam and the Qur’an in 1989. Imam Elturk is very active in the Muslim community of North America, both as a leader and a speaker. He is a publicly engaged Muslim leader and a leading interfaith activist in the Detroit Area. He is married with five children. He resides in Troy, Michigan.Imam Elturk serves on many boards.
